2023 Spring Recreational Season Is Closed!!
What is Recreational Soccer?
Recreational soccer is that soccer program that is primarily devoted to the enjoyment and development of soccer players without the emphasis on travel or high-level competition. The purpose of recreational soccer is to provide an opportunity for the participants to have fun, learn the sport and develop life skills including a lifelong love of the game.
There are no tryouts for recreational soccer and players are assigned to teams without regard to his/her abilities and skills.
Teams are assigned by grade level. Parents can request that players play up, or request a certain team to be with their friends. Players may not play down.
Kindergarten | Pre-Micro |
1st & 2nd Grade | Micro |
3rd Grade | U9 |
4th Grade | U10 |
5th Grade | U11 |
6th Grade | U12 |
7th Grade | U13 |
Teams will be combined if there are not enough participants to form a team in each designation. For example, a U14 team could be a combination of 7th and 8th graders.
Player Registration
All players must be registered in accordance with the rules of the club. Prior to any player being assigned to a team, the player must be in good standing with the club and all fees paid. Players are not allowed to practice with their team unless they are registered as player with Canby United Soccer Association.
Players registered prior to the deadline will be given team assignment priority. Players registered after the deadline will be given second priority. Players registered late (for example, new to the district) will be placed on a wait list and every effort will be made to place them on a team. While it is our goal to accommodate as many requests as possible, it is not always possible.
We encourage players to register EARLY if you have team requests.
