U05/U06 SOCCER RULES

Canby United Soccer In House Rules

  

·        Team size:  3 players vs. 3 players on two fields

·        Soccer Balls:  Size 3.

·        Length of game:  The Match shall be divided into (2) equal, sixteen (16) minute halves.  There shall be a half-time interval of five (5) minutes

·        Substitutions:  Substitutions are allowed at any dead ball (out of bounds or whistle)

·        Referee:  Coaches referee the games, explaining infractions to players as they occur.

·        Throw-in:  Throw-ins are used when the ball goes out of play.   

·        Goal Kick:  These will happen when the offensive team is the last to touch the ball before it crosses the end line. Goal kicks may be taken from any point near the goal area.  Opposing players must be four (4) yards away from the ball until it is in play. 

·        Corner Kick:  When the defensive team kicks the ball across the end line, a corner kick will be taken at the corner closest to where the ball was kick out on.  Opposing players must be four (4) yards away from the ball until it is in play. 

·        No Offside will be called at this age level.

·        No goalies or “guarding of the goal” will be allowed at this age level.

·        Score:  We do not keep score at this age level.

·        Equipment:  Each coach will be provided with a first aid kit, cones, pennies and a goal. All equipment should be brought and set up at each game.  All players must wear appropriate cleats and shin guards.
